This course provided myself with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform post-installation and day to day administration tasks in a single-domain or multiple-domain Microsoft windows NT based network. After attending the course I am able to:
- Determine account policies
- Create and administer user and group accounts
- Troubleshoot login problems
- Manage network resources
- Set up and administer file/folder permissions
- Take ownership of folders
- Troubleshoot disk resource access problems
- Set up printers
- Administer printers
- Troubleshoot print access problems
- Plan and implement an audit policy
- Use auditing functions to generate and view security logs
- moniter network resources to track usage and disk space
- Plan and implement a Backup strategy
- Back up and restore files/folders using tapes
